50 Million Pixels
The Price Science Commons' Visualization Lab allows faculty and students to visualize massive datasets via a 50-million–pixel video wall. Neuroscientists have examined brain scans here and astrophysicists have studied distant galaxies.

Museum of Natural and Cultural History
Discover Ice Age sloths, giant salmon, and the deep history of the region's Native American tribes here among massive collections of biological specimens and ethnographic objects. The museum is also a hub for archaeological and paleontological research.
Museum Exhibit Highlights
Artists and Protesters in Beijing, a 1979 photograph by Chinese artist LIU Heung Shing, was part of a 2023 exhibition, “Framing the Revolution,” at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum. The work is in the museum’s permanent collection.
When the UO picked Lamya H’s Hijab Butch Blues for its cross-campus Common Reading program, the Schnitzer Museum curated a show of work by four immigrant artists who address the book’s intersectional themes, including gender identity and “otherness.”
In 1963, UO alum James Blue directed an award-winning documentary about the civil rights March on Washington, including Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s iconic “I Have A Dream” speech. This digital exhibit explores the film’s historical context.
The Museum of Natural and Cultural History is known for its extensive collection of sandals, which were excavated from dry cave sites in Oregon. This sandal was made from sagebrush and recovered from the Fort Rock Cave.
Among the hundreds of artists’ books in the Design Library’s collection is the 27-foot–long, accordion-fold Every Building on Sunset Strip by pop artist Edward Ruschka.
