Immersive learning is key at Lundquist, made possible through our industry partnerships. Some examples: High-achieving business majors can join the professionally managed, student-run Oregon Consulting Group. Oregon MBA students tackle a five-month Strategic Planning Project as their capstone.
Portfolio Management
Undergraduate and graduate finance students can manage live investment portfolios while at Lundquist. The UO Investment Group and the Master’s Investment Group actively guide several portfolios totaling some $1.5 million—in real money, invested in real markets. Mentored by faculty, many finance students have gone on to careers with Wall Street heavy-hitters.
Oregon Innovation Challenge
This 12-week program supercharges business student ventures, whether they’re in the idea phase or already operating. Get ready to build things, take risks, and learn from setbacks—all within a supportive community of students, faculty, and alumni mentors. As the intensity builds, solopreneurs and teams pitch for up to $10,000 in funding to continue the momentum.
