What is your best advice for high school students looking to attend college: Say “yes” to everything! College will come with so much good but also obstacles. Having a solid group of people goes a long way and may even introduce you to new ideas. In saying “yes,” there is very little to lose, don’t be afraid to go against the tide.

What’s your favorite place to hang out on the UO campus or in Eugene, and why?: My favorite place in Eugene is the Willamette River, which is on the way to our wonderful Autzen Stadium. Whether admiring the river from the Frohnmayer footbridge or going down to the water, there is always a good view. There is an abundance of wildlife that includes blue jays, ospreys, and, of course, ducks. The river is truly a place for tranquility.
