Departmental Deadlines and Applications

Applicants will receive a separate admissions decision from the UO and the programs or majors listed below. If a student is offered admission to the UO, but not to the program they applied to, their major will be changed to “exploring” (undeclared) and they may work with academic advising to choose another major or reapply to that program as a current UO student. Students not offered admission to the direct-admit business major would be coded as pre-business and eligible to apply to the business major while a continuing student at the UO.

Programs may have different application deadlines and sometimes require an additional application or materials. Students should review the requirements and process for the program in which they are interested.

Dates listed below are postmark deadlines for fall term admission. Ensure the program you are looking into considers applications for the term you are applying if you intend to begin at the UO at any time other than fall term.

Programs without an Early Action application deadline do not have multiple reviews or deadlines in a year. Product Design is the program on this page without Early Action.

Process

• Submit the UO admissions application and any required information by the deadlines
• Reviewed for admission with the UO application for admission
• Submit an answer to the CHC prompt in the UO admissions application

• Freshman university application: January 15
• Transfer university application: March 15

Process

• Submit the UO application by the deadline, including two essay statements and a link to a creative portfolio hosted on a free web-based portal
• Reviewed for admission with the University of Oregon application for admission

• Early Action application: November 1
• Early Action supporting documents: November 15
• Regular deadline application: January 15
• Regular deadline supporting documents: February 15

Process

• Submit the UO admissions application and all required information by the deadlines
• Select “Business” as your intended major
• Reviewed for direct-admit consideration by UO admissions staff through a holistic process
• Students who did not receive direct admission will need to complete lower-division business coursework, meet the GPA requirements, and apply to become a business administration or accounting major once they complete the prerequisite coursework. Most of the incoming Business class will start at the UO as a pre-business major.
