Intertwined: Sharing Our Stories

Each of us has a story, and Intertwined is where our stories come together. Students, faculty, and staff from across campus gather to share short narratives of home, hope, and courage. Join for a workshop or performance, learn to shape your story, and become part of Oregon’s interwoven community of communities.

Student centers are your home within home and the space to connect with Ducks who share your experience.

  • Black Cultural Center

    The Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center will connect you with resources to help you achieve at the UO. Join a group of peers or reserve space to host your own community event.

  • Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence

    Connect with an advisor to plan your path, navigate campus systems, and find resources to help underrepresented students achieve academic and personal goals.

  • Many Nations Longhouse

    Come to the Longhouse and find a community that celebrates the many beliefs and backgrounds of Native Americans. A place to gather, discuss, and carry on cultural exchange.

  • Non-Traditional Student Union

    Every Duck is on their own path. If you identify as a non-traditional student, you can make yourself at home with a community of people who share your experience.

  • SSWANA Center

    The South, South West Asia & North Africa Center advocates for and uplifts the voices of its communities through talks, screenings, and celebrations of identity.

  • VMA Center

    We’ve got a community center with staff support for veteran- and military-connected students right in the Student Union. Grab a coffee, study, and connect with others who understand military life.

  • Women’s Center

    Stop by between classes and find a community that champions intersectional feminist values. The center also has support and supplies for menstruation, safer sex, and lactation.

The Multicultural Center brings together Ducks who are committed to sharing the experiences and heritages that shape them. Start your year with Embracing Connections, a kickoff event that invites students, faculty, and staff of color to get connected for a successful year!

Build Your Own Community

Any student can create a community at the UO. It’s up to you to bring people together. You’ll find professional staff and resources at the Center for Student Involvement that can help you launch a new student organization or host a community event.

Get Connected

Global Connection

The Mills International Center brings together international and US students for intercultural exchange. Join the center’s weekly Language Circles and Learning Cafes. Drop by for lunch with friends. Visit the lending library for travel books and international magazines. Expand your world.
